Superior Boiler Receives UL Certification on Boiler Systems
HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Jan. 3, 2011) – Superior Boiler, announced today that it has received certification from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and its affiliate Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC) on two of its packaged boiler systems. UL and ULC are independent safety certification organizations that test products and write standards for industry safety.
Superior earned certification for its:
- Low-emission 4-Pass Wetback Mohican series boilers in standard sizes from 100-800 horsepower, steam and hot water, and high- and low-pressure models, using Power Flame C&C Max burners firing gas only, gas and oil, or oil only.
- 2-Pass Dryback Apache series boilers in standard sizes from 80-200 horsepower, steam and hot water, and high- and low-pressure models, using Webster Engineering JB series burners firing gas only, gas and oil, or oil only.
Superior offers its 4-Pass Wetback Mohican series boilers in standard sizes from 70-1500 horsepower and its 2-Pass Dryback Apache series boilers in standard sizes from 40-2200 horsepower and its, using various burner manufacturers.
In making the certification announcement, Doug Wright, Superior’s president and chief executive officer, said, “By meeting the stringent requirements of the UL, CUL and Canadian Standards Association, we are able to provide our customers with high-quality, low-maintenance and fuel-efficient boiler systems that will more than meet their needs. The certification also will open additional markets, allowing us to bring these and other Superior products to more users.”
