Superior Boiler’s Northern California Representative Acquires Southern California Territory

With the acquisition, Nationwide Boiler now has responsibility for Superior Boiler sales throughout the state

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (December 7, 2020) – Superior Boiler’s longstanding sales representative in Northern California, Nationwide Boiler, Inc., has acquired the Southern California territory from Mavtech Energy’s owner, James Harber, Superior President and CEO Doug Wright announced today. The transaction was finalized December 1. Wright said Superior fully supports the agreement reached between the two parties.

“Superior Boiler has enjoyed great success in the southern California market under James’ leadership and market development over the past 15 years,” Wright said. “He has worked tirelessly toward building the Superior Boiler brand in southern California. We deeply appreciate his efforts and significant contributions to our success in the territory, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”

“MavTech Energy has very much relished the long relationship and accomplishments achieved with Superior Boiler, and we wish much success to the new stewards of the territory,” said MavTech Energy owner James Harber. “I compliment the world-class Superior team, and I’m humbled by the vigorous support they have provided us over the last 15 years.”

Going forward, MavTech Energy will focus on technical business services, clean technology, combustion and regulatory affairs, Harber said.

With the December 1 acquisition, Nationwide became the exclusive authorized representative for all Superior Boiler products, including watertube boilers, throughout California. Nationwide Boiler’s subsidiary, Pacific Combustion Engineering, already was Superior’s authorized representative for Oregon and Washington. Nationwide recently assumed representation for all Superior products in Nevada, as well.

With headquarters in Fremont, California, Nationwide Boiler has served industrial boiler owners throughout the world for more than 53 years. The company maintains a fleet of more than 100 rental boilers, with equipment storage and maintenance facilities placed strategically throughout the country. In addition to rental boiler equipment, Nationwide provides new and used boilers for sale and offers in-stock and built-to-spec boiler equipment.

“The Southern California marketplace has over 20 million people and is one of the largest and most advanced industrial bases in the country,” said Nationwide Boiler President and CEO Larry Day. “While we continue to see success in our existing territory and beyond with our stock boiler program, the additional region and expanded product line allows us to better support existing customers within Southern California and increase our reach throughout the state. We look forward to new opportunities and continued growth through this acquisition.”

“Superior Boiler welcomes the opportunity to further align our partnership with Nationwide Boiler for all of California,” Wright said. “We have no doubt the combined resources available between Nationwide Boiler and Superior Boiler will provide West Coast customers with the best options available for boiler room-related equipment.”
