Product Group Manager
Description
Oversee projects to ensure key business metrics and project milestone dates are being met and provide updated information to internal departments and external customers.
Technical Skills
• Responsible for the complete management of assigned feedwater systems / deaerator projects from kickoff to completion, planning and scheduling work to meet key milestones and completion dates expected by the customer.
• Ensure proper documentation is completed in a timely manner and in place before production commences.
• Serve as the primary contact for all customer interaction throughout the life of the project.
• Organize & file project documentation on computer networks.
• Prepare updates for internal departments at weekly meetings and assist in the preparation of periodic reports for customers.
• Work closely with purchasing to procure components by dates needed to support production schedule.
• Track project documentation and engineering drawings and update project schedules.
• Develop positive working relationships with sales, engineering, operations personnel and management to maintain a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain the company’s high standards of quality workmanship and accuracy, providing for or performing training of personnel as needed.
• Excellent computer skills including ERP systems, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with AutoCad preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, aviation, or construction environment. Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management or Engineering is preferred but applicants with a minimum of a high school diploma (or GED) will be considered with commensurate industry experience.
Electrical Engineer
Description
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical components, equipment, products, and systems for industrial purposes pertaining to the manufacture and operations of Boilers, Deaerators and other boiler room related equipment.
Technical Skills
• Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered during the manufacturing of boiler room equipment.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, installation, and support of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing and installation standards and specifications
• Inspect completed electrical installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with specifications and safety standards
• Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment from suppliers
• Supervise and train team members as necessary
• Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot information to resolve design- related problems
• Write procedures for electrical equipment and installations
• Review engineering and customer specifications regarding electrical requirements for equipment to be manufactured
• Support testing of electrical components on equipment at SBW’s facility and other testing facilities off-site
• Prepare drawings and procedures with details and clarity for facility personnel to follow
Burner & Controls Technician
Description
Primary technician responsible for the mounting, wiring, and testing of burners and related controls. Assists with matters concerning other electronic components of manufactured boiler room equipment. Works on own with minimal supervision.
Technical Skills
• Minimum 3 years field experience as a burner technician and/or commisioning of boilers for service
• Able to check-in burners and related controls when shipments are received by Superior Boiler, ensuring all components are present
• Assist with coordination of mounting and wiring of burners and related controls
• In-house testing of boilers and burners, recording data, and reporting performance metrics
• Adjustment of burners to meet performance requirements
• Testing and check-out of other ancillary boiler room equipment
Final Assembly
Description
General assembly of pipe; pipefittings; valves, and gauges to form accessories for boiler operation. Attach burners to boilers and pipe and wire according to requirements. Able to read and interpret all production orders with minimum amount of assistance. Perform assembly functions within the allotted time standards.
Technical Skills
• Run air/power hand tools and standard hand tools
• Attach electrical wiring and shielded cable as required
• Read understand wiring schematics and piping layout
• Cutting and threading of pipe
• Attach burner to boiler
• Ensure that parts are assembled on boiler per instructions for proper appearance and function
• Read and interpret shop orders
• Must be capable of training other employees in the said department
• Function with minimal amount of supervision
• Able to reproduce all operations within acceptable quality guidelines
• Prompt, dependable and reliable in work attendance
• Perform other related duties as required
Boilermaker
Description
General assembly of Boiler components including but not limited to tubing, insulation, refractory, pipefittings, valves, and gauges. Perform assembly functions within the allotted time standards.
Technical Skills
• Run air/power hand tools and standard hand tools\Attach electrical wiring and shielded cable as required
• Read and understand wiring schematics and piping layout
• Cutting and threading of pipe
• Ensure that parts are assembled on boiler per instructions for proper appearance and function
• Read and interpret shop orders
• Must be capable of training other employees in said department
• Function with minimal amount of supervision
• Able to reproduce all operations within acceptable quality guidelines
• Prompt, dependable and reliable in work attendance
• Perform other related duties as required
Code Welder
Technical Skills
• Welding of carbon steel plate under prescribed conditions
• Grind and clean area where required
• Work with grinders, stick or MIG welders and other tools as required
• Read and understand blueprints and welding symbols
• Have knowledge of all aspects welding in the department
• Must be able to complete all tasks in said department by the standard time allowed
• Follow all safety requirements
• Prompt, dependable and reliable in work attendance
• Perform other related duties as required
Non-Code Welder
Technical Skills
• Welding of carbon steel plate or stainless steel, if qualified, under prescribed conditions
• Recognize weld defects through visual inspection of welds and rework when necessary
• Grind and clean weld area where required
• Work with grinders as required
• Read and understand engineering blueprints, drawings and welding symbols
• Have knowledge of company welding procedures and processes
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as required by Supervisors
