HR Assistant

Description
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.

Technical Skills

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
  • Will work with the accounting department to handle certain accounting-related HR functions.
  • Works with external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and benefits enrollment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Plasma Operator

Description
Perform all setups and layouts; make all necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production standards; work on own with minimal supervision; be able to operate gas cutting torch in a safe manner and meet production standards

Technical Skills

  • Flame cutting of carbon steel plate.
  • Set up the gas cutting torch for production.
  • Work with hand tools.
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Have knowledge of the layout procedures and of the gas cutting torch.
  • Must be able to complete all task in said department by the standard time allowed.
  • Be able to train new employees on the operation and setup.
  • Follow all safety requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Function with minimal amount of supervision


CNC Operator

Description
Produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine adjusting program as needed; maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain and organize equipment and supplies.

Technical Skills

  • Set up the proper programs and tooling to drill material
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Understand layout procedures
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Able to complete all tasks in said department by the standard time allowed
  • Able to train new employees on the operation
  • Maintain clean and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Perform other related duties as required

Quality Control Inspector

Description
Inspect welds, subassemblies, production parts, purchased goods, and completed boilers reporting any substandard quality and discrepancies to the Quality Control (QC) Manager.

Technical Skills

  • Receiving inspection of code plate, tubes, and pipe; verification of heat numbers to mill test reports.
  • Verification of Material Test Reports to code requirements per applicable ASME section.
  • Verification of plate, after cutting, for code acceptability (i.e. thickness, heat number and slab number, width, length and layout of hand holes or fittings per drawing).
  • Visual inspection of welds for defects to ASME code requirements; verification of welders’ ID & stamp.
  • Verify and record various material information on QC documents.
  • Verify to drawings nozzle and fitting layouts, tube sheet insertion into shell, out of roundness, level of tube sheets, welding gaps at fit-up, and other various dimensions.
  • Verify to drawings the coupling and nozzle insertions through the shell; verify levelness and two-hole of flanges; levelness of fittings and connections.
  • Verify stamping to conform to drawings and apply code stamp to boiler with applicable symbol.
  • Responsible for issuing and writing non-conformance reports per SBW QC Manual.
  • Responsible for witnessing and visually testing boilers, using the hydrostatic test procedure for tube or pressure retaining parts for leakage to applicable code.
  • Responsible for maintaining calibrations and documentation of calibrations per SBW QC Manual.
  • Verify welders are welding within the parameters of applicable WPS; verifying welders continuity logs.
  • Prompt, dependable and reliable in work attendance
  • Report deficiencies or discrepancies to the QC Manager for disposition.

Electrical Engineer

Description
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical components, equipment, products, and systems for industrial purposes pertaining to the manufacture and operations of Boilers, Deaerators and other boiler room related equipment.

Technical Skills

  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered during the manufacturing of boiler room equipment.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, installation, and support of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing and installation standards and specifications
  • Inspect completed electrical installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with specifications and safety standards
  • Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment from suppliers
  • Supervise and train team members as necessary
  • Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot information to resolve design- related problems
  • Write procedures for electrical equipment and installations
  • Review engineering and customer specifications regarding electrical requirements for equipment to be manufactured
  • Support testing of electrical components on equipment at SBW’s facility and other testing facilities off-site
  • Prepare drawings and procedures with details and clarity for facility personnel to follow

Stockroom Assistant

Description
Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom. Package and ship boilers and service parts. Keep inventory area organized and quantities on hand updated.

Technical Skills

  • Receive and stock incoming freight
  • Package and ship service parts
  • Operate forklifts and overhead hoists
  • Able to complete all tasks in said department in the standard time allowed
  • Handle supporting paperwork for these activities
  • Follow all safety requirements
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Some data entry into computer systems

Burner & Controls Technician

Description

Primary technician responsible for the mounting, wiring, and testing of burners and related controls. Assists with matters concerning other electronic components of manufactured boiler room equipment. Works on own with minimal supervision.

Technical Skills

  • Check-in of burners and related controls when shipments are received by Superior Boiler
  • Assist with coordination of mounting and wiring of burners and related controls
  • In-house testing of boilers and burners, recording data, and reporting performance metrics
  • Adjustment of burners to meet performance requirements
  • Testing and check-out of other ancillary boiler room equipment

General Laborer

Description

Experienced General Laborers will provide support to all areas of production by preforming various duties as needed by production departments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in the use of a wide variety of tools
  • Experience with operating heavy machinery including fork lifts
  • Ability to follow and complete directions for assigned tasks
  • Ability to complete tasks that involve heavy lifting
  • Work with fellow employees to support and promote safety at all times
  • Perform work tasks as assigned by supervisor

Final Assembly

Description

Assemble various sub-assemblies and final assemblies to print and worksheet specifications.

Technical Skills

  • Read and interpret blue prints and follow various work instructions
  • Assemble various burner assemblies and sub-assemblies in accordance to print and worksheet requirements
  • Proficient at visualizing how components should be assembled
  • Proficient using various hand tools including drills, air tools etc.
  • Ability to work well with fellow employees including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem solving
  • Fully support and participate in promoting safety at all times

Welder (3G, 6G)

Technical Skills

  • Welding of carbon steel plate under prescribed conditions
  • Grind and clean area where required
  • Work with grinders, stick or mig welders and other tools as required
  • Read and understand blueprints and welding symbols
  • Have knowledge of all aspects welding in the department
  • Must be able to complete all task in said department by the standard time allowed
  • Follow all safety requirements
  • Perform other related duties as required

Skilled Welders

Description

We are searching for Skilled Code Welders to be responsible for fabricating and welding pressure vessels and related components in accordance to ASME code. Certified Welders perform difficult and unusual welding operations on a wide range of metals and alloys for complex products.

Technical Skills

  • Set voltage for proper penetration and fusion of metals
  • Select electrode type and size
  • Ability to distinguish between metals to determine how to fuse dissimilar metals
  • Obtain maximum weld strength to avoid distortion and adherence to ASME code
  • Interpret complex blueprints and schematics to build systems and products to company and customer standards
  • Perform work tasks as assigned by supervisor
