(Sept. 19, 2016) – Superior Boiler, last week celebrated the company and its employees achieving 1,000 consecutive days without a lost-time accident, a milestone achieved as of Sept. 13, 2016. The company’s safety and insurance partner, IMA of Wichita, Kansas, treated employees to a cookout Thursday, Sept. 15. As a company and as a leadership team, Superior has emphasized and prioritized safety over the past several years. The implementation of working committees involving all areas of the company has contributed substantially to the safety program’s success. “This is a significant milestone for any manufacturer,” said Superior Boiler CEO Doug Wright. “I’m extremely proud of the accomplishment for our company because it takes all employees being focused on the overall safety objective to make it work and be successful. It doesn’t happen without making improvements where necessary based upon employee input, focus and attention on details, and hard work.”

Superior holds monthly safety training sessions and maintains a safety committee comprised of a key group of employees who provide valuable input every month. “We make safety a big priority and our employees understand completely how important it is in our operations.” Wright said. “It helps creates a good, working environment for our employees when they know their input is making a difference. HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Sept. 16, 2016) – Superior Holding, Inc., has acquired the business assets of Richmond, Virginia-based English Boiler & Tube. The transaction was effective Sept. 15, 2016. English Boiler is an industry leader in the design and fabrication of packaged watertube boiler systems for large, industrial applications.

Superior Holding is the parent company to Superior Boiler Technologies and Superior Boiler, a leading manufacturer of Scotch Marine and vertical firetube boilers and boiler equipment. Superior will continue to manufacture and sell English Boiler & Tube products under the new company name, English Boiler, LLC. Current leaders John English and Rick English will remain as CEO and as president and general manager, respectively. “The combination of these two industry leaders gives customers a single source for all their industrial boiler and associated boiler room equipment needs,” said Superior Boiler CEO Doug Wright. “It opens new markets for both companies and, through a more focused marketing and sales strategy, both can expect future growth. Superior will maintain English Boiler’s facility in Richmond, Virginia, and use it for future growth opportunities. All current English Boiler employees will be retained. In addition to Superior Holding, Inc., the transaction’s funding investors are Konza Valley Capital, Inc., and MidStates Capital, LP. Parkside Financial Bank and Trust, Clayton, Missouri, provided banking services.
