Superior Boiler Donates New Boiler to Kansas State University

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Jan. 14, 2013) – Superior Boiler, announced today that it has completed and delivered a new boiler and feedwater system for the new O.H. Kruse Feed Technology Innovation Center being constructed at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan. The donated boiler was a high- efficiency 80HP Apache, 2-pass dryback, high-pressure steam boiler.

“We are pleased to support and partner with Kansas State University by donating this new boiler to the University’s state-of-the-art feed technology innovation center,” said Doug Wright, Superior’s president and chief executive officer. “We recognize the importance of higher education in driving innovation and technology, and know that K-State will continue to be a leader in this area of grain and mill science. Several of our employees are K-State graduates, and we’re happy to give back to the university.”

Superior Boiler, which manufactures an array of boiler systems, is a leader in clean-air emissions technology. Key SBW suppliers who assisted in providing the donated boiler include Fintube, LLC, of Tulsa, Okla.; Power Flame, Inc., of Parsons, Kan.; and Martin Machine & Welding, Inc., of Halstead, Kan.
